There’s nothing better than a family board game at Christmas, so to help us make this year’s festivities better than ever before, we’re seeking a board game fanatic to step up and take the role as our first ever ‘Board Director’.

With a chance to test out some of our best retro-inspired games, including classics such as Rummikub, Silly Sausage, Ghost Castle and Go for Broke, the successful applicant will take home a £500 ‘salary’ (One off cash prize), and a selection of board games to keep and play to their heart’s content!

    All you need to do is play the games at home with your loved ones (pyjamas optional!) and report back to the John Adams HQ on their gaming experiences.

    We’re looking for board game enthusiasts who know their Scrabble from their Scribblish, who enjoy nothing more than quality time with the family and have a true passion for all things gaming.

    Terms & Conditions
    • The competition is open to all UK residents aged 16 and over (except employees and families of the Promoter and its affiliate companies, agencies and anyone professionally connected with the promotion). Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a legal parent/guardian to be eligible to enter.
    • The competition starts at 12am Monday 22nd November and closes at Friday 10th December 5pm.
    • To be in with a chance of winning, entrants should submit their application via email to boarddirector@johnadams.co.uk, including their full name, age, address, email address, telephone number and 100 words explaining why they want to be a ‘Board Director’.
    • You must only enter yourself into the competition, entries on behalf of other people will be discounted.
    • The winner will be randomly generated by The Promoter, and will receive a cash prize of £500 and a selection of John Adams games to play, keep and report back on. No cash alternatives or substitutions will be provided.
    • There is a maximum of one winner for the competition.
    • Full details of the prize will be supplied to the winner following notification. In the event of the original prize being unavailable, The Promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equivalent value.
    • The winner will be required to document their experience with the games, providing images and video for use on the John Adams website and social media channels. A short review form will also need to be completed as part of the prize.

    • By entering the competition, you agree to The Promotor contacting you by any contact details provided. The Promotor respects your privacy and will not share your details with any third party.
    • By entering the competition, entrants agree for their name and entry to be used by John Adams in social media communications and press or marketing materials.

Personal data relating to nominators and nominees will be retained by the Promoter for a reasonable period after the competition closes, to ensure the Promoter operates competitions in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries on the competition.
