    Story

We hope you enjoyed the sculpture trail around Swadlincote town centre. If so, please consider supporting our Chairman's charities, which this year are the NSPCC and Rainbows Hospice.

Councillor Malcolm Gee is the current Chair of the Council at South Derbyshire District Council. He has has chosen Rainbows Hospice and the NSPCC as his charities and is undertaking fund raising activities to support them during the year.

Rainbows is the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people. They brighten the short lives of the children and young people who come to Rainbows and enable them to have fun and make special memories. They are also a huge support to loved ones through the most difficult times of their lives.

The NSPCC is the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. They help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, protect children at risk, and find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Every penny of your kind donations will be donated directly to the charities and are greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for the Snowman Trail - we thoroughly enjoyed the walk around Swadlincote on New Year's Day. We have some wonderful photographs of the beautufully decorated Snowmen and Dogs.

Many of our pupils have enjoyed the trail. We loved creating the snowman and snow dogs for the competition. Staff donations instead of Christmas cards.
