Flying Scotsman Train

Come along to see and travel behind the Flying Scotsman as it steams across the beautiful Sussex Countryside.

Choose which timed service you would like to travel on and enjoy one round trip of 22 miles hauled by this impressive Giant of Steam. You must pick your seats before progressing to payment. Your ticket also allows you to make use of the other timetabled services hauled by our home fleet throughout the rest of your day.

We expect to be busy, so please give plenty of time to park and negotiate crowds. Your train leaves at the start time on this ticket and will not wait for you - it's an express after all!

For those who wish for private travel, we are afraid you cannot book two seats at a table of four and expect to be seated on your own - the remaining seats will be filled. What a great opportunity to make like-minded friends!

Facilities:

  • There are toilets at each of our stations and on some of these services (dependant on carriages on the day)
  • Food and drink is available to purchase at all of our stations

Parking:

  • Sheffield Park Station - free parking at the station. This service begins at ends at this station.
  • Horsted Keynes Station - free parking at the station. You cannot join this service here.
  • Kingscote - NO parking is available at this station
  • East Grinstead - free blue badge parking (5 spaces). Public parking in East Grinstead. Do not join this service here

Tickets:

  • Children under 3yrs (and babies) travel for free and don't need a ticket, no seat is allocated
  • Tickets are valid for the date and journey specified on the ticket only

Seating: 

  • This service is seated. Please adhere to the coach letter and seat number printed on your ticket. Station staff will assist you to locate your seat.

Accessibility:

  • We are pleased to offer a specially adapted area for wheelchair users on all departures of this service. Please call our Customer Service Team on 01825 720800 to check availability
  • If you or a member of your party have mobility issues and would like to travel on this service, please call our Customer Service Team on 01825 720800 who will be happy to discuss your requirements with you
  • Accessible toilets are available at each station, but we regret we have no "Changing Places" toilets, or accessible toilets on our trains

Dogs:

  • Assistance dogs only. Please do not bring dogs to this event - it is not approriate. Dogs left in cars will be reported

Prams/Pushchairs/Buggies:

  • There will be no space for prams/pushchairs/buggies on this service
  • All prams/pushchairs/buggies can be left in the care of the station staff at Sheffield Park Station
