It looks like talent must, er, run in the family.

The winner of the OX5 men's race was junior Henry Channon, 16, from Oxford, who completed the course in 28 minutes and 23 seconds.

Meanwhile his sister Emily Channon, 13, won the women's race and finished in 34 minutes and 20 seconds.

Emily was presented with her personal medal by Gail Williams from the Oxford Hospitals Charity.

Ms Williams said: "We are all buzzing after an absolutely brilliant day. We had around 600 runners back at Blenheim for the OX5 Run and we were so lucky to have the perfect weather for the return of our Children’s Hospital fun run.

"It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, including hospital staff and parents of young patients – and the fancy dress this year was just brilliant, including giant pandas, a hot dog and the return of the giant minion – an OX5 regular who takes part every year.

"We are so grateful to everyone who joined us at this really important fundraiser, which we hope the event will raise well over £80,000 for the Children’s Hospital.

"Our thanks also to our wonderful sponsors, Allen Associates, Jack FM, all our volunteers, George Martini for his Zumba warm-up and, of course, Blenheim Palace for letting us share their beautiful grounds.’
